This cooling tower media is available in 750mm and 950mm widths, with a 20mm corrugation pitch and a 90° channel arrangement. It can be manufactured from PVC, CPVC, or PP, with customized lengths and sheet thicknesses to match different cooling tower requirements.

For towers operating with chemically treated circulating water, we usually confirm the water conditions before selecting the fill material. Two towers may use the same packing dimensions but require different materials because of differences in water temperature, treatment chemicals, or cleaning procedures.

Material Options for Different Water Treatment Conditions

PVC is a common material for cooling tower media, but its suitability depends on the operating temperature and circulating water chemistry. CPVC and PP are also available when the project requires a different material specification.

We do not select the material based on water temperature alone. Chemical concentration, treatment method, and possible exposure during cleaning should also be considered. Compatibility must be checked against the actual operating conditions, particularly where oxidizing biocides or concentrated cleaning chemicals are used.

20mm Corrugated Media Structure

The 20mm corrugation pitch provides relatively open passages compared with smaller-pitch media. This can be worth considering in systems where suspended solids or deposits are a concern, although the actual fouling tendency depends on water quality, distribution conditions, and maintenance practices.

The 90° channel arrangement gives the media a consistent passage geometry. For replacement projects, we recommend confirming the original corrugation pattern rather than selecting a new fill based only on its external dimensions.

Custom Sizes and Assembly Options

The media is supplied in 750mm and 950mm widths, with customized lengths and thicknesses. Glued assemblies and hanging configurations are available, depending on the selected material and the tower's support arrangement.

For chemically treated water systems, the assembly method also needs attention. The bonding material and connection details should be suitable for the selected plastic and the expected operating environment.
